    What is Facebook Pay?

    Facebook Pay is a seamless and secure way to make payments in Facebook and its suite of apps. It is now launched to Facebook users in many countries including Thailand. For Thailand, Kasikorn Bank (KGP) is the payment service provider that process transactions in Messenger that allows buyer to make payments to seller through Facebook Pay (credit card, debit card, or bank transfer via mobile banking applications) directly in Messenger.

    What type of Facebook Page is eligible to register for KGP payment services on Facebook?

    Facebook Page with shop section with the Thai baht as its currency, and conduct business legally. Both individual person and juristic person (registered company) are eligible to register and use the service.

    Is KGP payment on Facebook reliable and secure?

    It is very secure because all transactions are encrypted and protected by the PCI DSS security standard.

    Can buyers request for refund?

    Regardless of whether the sellers are part of Purchase Protection program, buyers can request for refund within the 7-day holding period, or before the buyer marks the order as received, whichever is sooner.
    Likewise, sellers can cancel order within the 7-day holding period, or before the buyer marks the order as received to give buyers full refund.

    What is Purchase Protection and how does it benefit you?

    Purchase Protection with Facebook Pay is a policy that let buyer to shop with confidence and, in turn, allows buyers to pay with peace of mind when shopping on Facebook or Messenger. Buyer can dispute the order with seller before the 7-day holding period ends, and request a refund for the following reasons:

    • They didn’t receive the order.
    • The product arrived damaged.
    • Items were missing in the order.
    • The listing described something differently.

    How does Purchase Protection work?

    All eligible transactions below ฿9,300 ($300) with Facebook Pay between you and your buyers will be covered by Purchase Protection.
    Purchase Protection means:

    1. Buyers must pay with Facebook Pay either via credit card or bank transfer.
    2. Your payout will be held for up to 7 days, or until the buyer marks the order as received, whichever is sooner.
    3. If the buyer disputes the order with you, you are given 24 hours to reach the issue with the buyer independently.
    4. If you can’t resolve the issue with the buyer, they can file a claim with Facebook. Alternatively, the claim will be automatically filed with Facebook if the dispute is not resolved in 3 days.
    5. Facebook will review each Purchase Protection claim, and if Facebook approves the claim, the buyer will get a refund for the full purchase price of the order.

    How does Purchase Protection change the way I get paid?

    Payments for completed orders will now be held for up to 7 days or until the buyer marks the order as received.

    How do I track the status of the dispute?

    Both buyers and sellers can track the status of the dispute by clicking on the payment bubble of that particular payment on Messenger.

    Who will mediate disputes and make adjudication between seller and buyer?

    Facebook will review each dispute between sellers and buyers and will contact buyers via email. Both buyers and sellers can track the status of the dispute by clicking on the payment bubble of that particular payment on Messenger

    How long does it take for Facebook to review each dispute?

    It will take up to 3 days for Facebook to review each dispute.

    How long does it take for buyers to get refund?

    • In case the buyer paid with credit or debit card: if Facebook approves buyer’s claim, it will take up to 30 days for the buyer to get refund.
    • In case the buyer paid via bank transfer: if Facebook approves buyer’s claim, the buyer will get the refund a day after the case is resolved.

    In which cases do buyers can dispute and request for refund?

    Please note the buyer can dispute the order with you before the 7-day holding period ends, and request a refund for the following reasons:

    • They didn’t receive the order.
    • Their product arrived damaged.
    • Items were missing in the order.
